Supporting Opportunity Youth
through High School, Post-Secondary Education & Career-Training Opportunities
"Opportunity youth" are young adults 16 to 24 year olds, both out of school and out of work. Working in collaboration with state agencies, community partners, the Aspen Institute's Opportunity Youth Forum, and Colorado Mountain College, these are regional initiatives designed to:
-
Support families and youth most at-risk of dis-engaging from educational and occupational opportunities,
-
Remove barriers to high school graduation, post-secondary education, career-training, and job placement, and
-
Re-engage young adults 16 to 24 year olds — through socio-emotional, educational, and career-training programs.
